Usaid

What can be said about Usaid that hasn't already been said about other Chartreux cats? Probably nothing, but he is very special to us! Usaid is developing a distinct and interesting personality. He is more vocal than we were told Chartreux cats tend to be. He "talks" to us quite a bit. Especially when he really wants something. Usaid is also making his preferred sleeping and sitting spots known. Such as the bathroom sinks and the dishwasher. The sink makes sense because it is oval like his bed but we have not figured out why he likes the dishwasher! Usaid has discovered birds and sits for hours watching them through the window. We believe that there is one particular bird that may be his nemesis. The two of them seem to have staring contests.

See Usaid's Pedigree

Usaid weighed about five pounds when he was four months old. At eight months he weighed about eleven pounds. At nine months - 13.5 pounds; eleven months old and 14.5 pounds. HE is now 2 years old and weighs in at 16.2 pounds. Chartreux males can get quite large in size. His father weighs approximately twenty pounds so Usaid's size is not very surprizing. It can be pretty humorous as Usaid still thinks he is a little kitten and jumps onto things as if he truly is. We are waiting for the day that he knocks over a chair or a small table.

A more affectionate cat would be difficult to find. Usaid really loves his "parents". He follows us from room to room barely letting us out of his site. He also loves anyone that comes over to visit. (Whether or not they like cats!)
